God wanted a family so He created a world in six days and He rested on the seventh day.  On the sixth day He created a man in His own image and likeness.  This man was named Adam.  Adam was made in God’s image.  He had the mind of God, and named all of the animals and plants that God had created because God wanted a relationship with Adam.  God saw that Adam was alone and that it wasn’t good for Adam to be alone.  Therefore, God put Adam into a deep sleep and took a rib from Adam’s side.  Adam even named the person and called her “woman” because she was taken from a man.  Adam named the woman “Eve”.  They enjoyed living in a paradise called the Garden of Eden. Adam and Eve didn’t have to work for food and they played all day.  In the cool of the day God came to visit them and to continue building His relationship with them. They could continue this forever unless they ate from the forbidden tree.  However, one day the serpent walked towards Eve and started to talk to her.  The serpent convinced Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.  She saw the fruit was good for knowledge and it looked tasty. Nothing happened to her, so then she decided to give some fruit to Adam.  Now Adam was told by God directly not to eat the fruit, and when Adam ate the fruit both his and Eve’s eyes were opened.  Then they both realized they were naked.  They felt shame and guilt.  Adam and Eve decided to sew fig leaves together and put them on.   When God came calling for them Adam and Eve were scared and hid.  Adam finally called out and told God what had happened.  Father God’s heart was SO sad that Adam had disobeyed Him.  Adam passed the blame onto Eve and then Eve passed the blame onto the serpent.  Because Adam and Eve knew the difference between good and evil they could not stay in the Garden of Eden anymore.  They were forced to leave, but God switched out their fig leaves for animal skins.  Now Adam had  to work the land for food.  Eve had to have pain during childbirth, and the serpent lost its legs and had to crawl.  Father God was sad that His relationship with Adam and Eve was hurt so He had a plan to restore the relationship.  It would take many years for His redemption plan to come to fruition.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believed in Him would not perish but have everlasting life.”  John 3:16

God made a way for us to be redeemed from the curse that was placed upon Adam.  That way is to believe in God’s son, Jesus Christ.  We are to follow Jesus’ teachings, and Jesus’ teachings will set us free from the sin. (John 8:32).

When we start to follow Jesus’ teachings and accept Jesus into our life then we become a child of God.  We get adopted in Father God’s family.  We are no longer orphans, but we have the Spirit of Adoption.  That allows us to call God, “Abba Father”.

We can be loved and accepted by Father God.  Father God gives us our identity.  He has good plans for us.  He can only think good thoughts about us.  We are Father God’s happy thought!

Now we can overcome all hardships that we will encounter and those that have caused us pain in the past.  Father God gives us eternal life right now, and we don’t have to wait until we die physically to enjoy the life.  It's right now for us.

Read scriptures about love:

1 Corinthians 16:14 - Let all that you do be done in love.

Colossians 3:14 - And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

1 Corinthians 13:13 - So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

John 15:13 - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 - Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 4:8 - Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.

1 Peter 4:8 - Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins.
